Adventures with Nutmeg!

As the school year winds down and students prepare for a summer of fun, MCAP has been visiting schools throughout the county. This spring, MCAP presented a personal safety program to over 750 children in Kindergarten through 4th grade, focusing on critical topics like:
-
Understanding personal boundaries
-
Recognizing safe vs. unsafe touches
-
Knowing how to speak up and seek help from trusted adults
Each session was age-appropriate, interactive, and designed to empower children with the tools they need to stay safe as they head into the less-structured months of summer. Students were encouraged to ask questions, share stories, and, of course, enjoy some comfort from Nutmeg!
Parent involvement is key as safety lessons are most effective when they’re reinforced at home. MCAP encourages families to continue these conversations and explore safety topics together.
